Our Model

Our unique partnership model between public school students, private school campuses, and generous financial supporters, allows us to create a transformative three-summer experience for our students.

Squared students spend their summers becoming…

What is a Squared Program?

Squared Programs offer residential, STEM-based, college access summer programming for first-generation and/or low-income high school students. Each chapter aims to:

  • Provide scholars with a strong background in STEM that will advance their success in academics and prepare them for future careers

  • Build confidence in academic and leadership skills necessary to rebound from challenges and create incredible opportunities for themselves and their communities

  • Prepare students to navigate the intricacies of college applications and equip them with the knowledge and resources to attain admission and financial support

  • Cultivate a strong peer community that is sustained for years to come

Three Summers of Growth

Students apply during the fall of their freshman year, and upon admission, commit to attend the program for three summers. Students graduate the Squared Program the summer before their senior year and return to their home schools equipped to apply to college.

Students’ five weeks are full of academics, adventure, and close-knit community. Each day students attend 6 hours of classes followed by extracurricular active and creative opportunities. Students live in dormitories throughout the summer to experience 15 weeks of residential living prior to college.
